Description

Performance Period 90 CALENDAR DAYS Shall remove existing horizontal lifelines on the tower at Bldg 11247 and Wendover Field and construct the new lifelines. The contractor shall pre-tension the cable using the turnbuckles so that the sag in the cables is no less than 3 inches and not more than 6 inches at the center point. The wire rope shall be 6 X 37 Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) or equivalent flexibility with a minimum breaking strength of 40,000 psi. The steel plates shall be galvanized and shall match the color of the tower. All bolts for this project shall be A325 high strength, corrosion resistant bolts. INSTALL HORIZONTAL LIFELINES Bid opening date 29 Jun 2001 2:00 p.m. The approximate issue/response date will be 29 MAY 2001. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. See our Web page. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.
