Description

Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to construct an addition to the existing Recycling Center, Building 2420, at Fairchild AFB, WA. The principal items of work shall include, but is not limited to, new brick exterior, new metal roofing, new exterior personnel and overhead coiling doors, new metal fascia and soffits, new electrical service and lighting. It will also require construction of new roadwork, new landscaping, a new concrete ramp, and other associated tasks deemed necessary for project completion. The solicitation will be issued on or about 4 June 2001. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at http://www.eps.gov. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. The construction magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. The acquisition will be processed through competitive negotiation procedures utilizing best value in terms of price versus past performance trade-off procedures. A preference will be shown to HUBZone firms in accordance with FAR Part 19.1307. The (NAICS) code is 233310 and size standard is $27.5 million. To be eligible for contract award, a firm MUST be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR Internet Site at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil or by contacting the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. Offerors will be required to submit their proposals via paper copy. Electronic proposals via fax or E-mail will not be considered. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are made available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation either before or after the closing date.
