Description

Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Motorola Inc, Parkway Drive, Hanover, MD 21076. This sole source award will be made to upgrade the existing Intrack Radio Control System, an integral component of the Aircraft Arresting System. The Intrack Radio Control System will be upgraded with the Moscad Radio Control System. Both systems were developed by Motorola Inc. The Moscad Radio Control System is a commercial item and is configured to be used as a component of the Aircraft Arresting System. Only one source is currently known and this agency knows no other supplies or services that will satisfy the requirement. Alternatives to the Moscad Radio Control System may be considered with a written response. The response must be accompanied by clear and convincing evidence that comparable item(s)/services is/are available. If no affirmative written response(s) are received within 15 days after publication of this notice, a sole source contract with Motorola Inc. will be pursued.
