Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is soliciting prospective offerors for the Department of Defense Radiation Experiments Command Center (RECC). This is a follow-on, unrestricted acquisition. The successful offeror will provide continuing capability for the operation of the RECC which compiles by various means available records and information concerning radiation experiments involving DoD personnel and receives information from the public by following up on inquiries. The RECC shall continue to assess and categorize radiation experiments information and data to DoD personnel, perform in-depth research through the retrieval and retention of pertinent records and documentation, and determine further actions in response to public, Congressional, and Executive department level inquiries. Tasks include, but are not limited to the following: 1) compile and examine available records and information regarding DoD human radiation experiments(HRE); 2) serve the public by following up on individual, congressional and executive department level inquiries; 3) continue to maintain the RECC database capability using emerging technologies to catalog and retrieve RECC information and documentation; 4) prepare and consolidate information and respond to questions on HREs; and 5) provide a facility for the operation and maintenance of the RECC located with the Washington DC metropolitan area. The solicitation is expected to result in a single award of a Firm Fixed Price Level of Effort contract. The contractor will require a DoD security clearance of Secret. The anticipated level of effort is approximately 6.5 man-years with a base of one year and two option periods. Please e-mail requests for copies of the solicitation to brenda.delawder@dtra.mil.
