Description

The USAF Academy Operational Contracting has a requirement for a Single-Frequency Scanning Actively Stabilized Ti:Sapphire laser system with the following characteristics: ring cavity geometry, <100KHz linewidth, 700-100nm tuning range, TEM00 spatial mode, linearly polarized output, up to 1500 mW output power when pumped by 14 watts of Ar+laser. The laser must allow for continuous mode-hop-free scanning. The USAF Academy intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation for the above requirement. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. The solicitation F05611-01-Q-0105 will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The approximate issue date will be May 11, 2001. The anticipated award date will be May 21, 2001. A technical proposal will not be required if this offer is for a Catalog item, however, sufficient descriptive literature and a Catalog must be submitted with the offer to enable an evaluation against the specifications. The Government will award a contract resulting from the proposed solicitation to the technically acceptable low offer meeting the salient characteristics/specifications. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered. Delivery Requirement: ; The system shall be delivered within 20 weeks after Contract award. FOB for this requirement will be Destination.
