Description

The work to be performed consists of: a) replacing the trolley, bridge, controls, and hoist on the overhead crane at the Big Thompson Power Plant; b) upgrading the motors, wiring, control cabinets, hoists, and hooks on the gantry crane at the Flatiron Power Plant; c) inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and testing both cranes; and d) providing training and documentation for both cranes. The Flatiron Power Plant and the Big Thompson Power Plant are located 13 miles west and 8 miles west of Loveland, Colorado in Larimer County. The Request For Quotation (RFQ) will be made available on or around May 21st and quotes are tentatively due on June 11, 2001. There is no charge for the first copy of the RFQ, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the RFQ may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. This acquisition is made pursuant to FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisition. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 3536, the North American Industrial Classification System code is 333923 and the small business size standard is 500 Employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
