Description

The U.S. Department of State, Office of Acquisition Management, intends to award a purchase order to Sterling Commerce (America), Inc., 4600 Lakehurst Court, Dublin, Ohio 43016, for a 10-pack Connect-Direct Software license for Windows NT workstations. The Department of State (DoS) has a requirement to connect to the Department of Treasury's database to retrieve Consolidated Financial Management System (CFMS) information inherent to the financial mission of Domestic Financial Services of the State Department's Bureau of Financial Management and Policy. The Connect-Direct Software product, which is proprietary to Sterling Commerce (America), Inc., is the only COTS application acceptable to the Department of Treasury for this purpose. This action is taken pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1). This is not a request for competitive proposals; there is no solicitation document. See Note 22.
