Description
The Natchez Trace Parkway (a unit of the National Park Service) intends to negotiate on a noncompetitive basis with Olshan Inc., 5835 N. Commerce Plaza Drive, Jackson, Mississippi, to repair the foundation and level the slab floors of 3 buildings at the Ridgeland, Mississippi, District compound. The buildings and floating slab floors have sunk causing destabilization of the structures. In some cases, the floors have sunk as much as 12". Investigation of current techniques to level slabs and stabilize foundations has led the government to conclude that the CableLock System, as patented by Olshan, is the most suitable alternative to effect repairs. Since the process is proprietary, competition is not being sought. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b) simplified acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. This announcement is for information only and complies with the requirements of FAR 5.207(c)(2)(xiv). No solicitation is available.
