Description

This project consists of constructing trailhead parking facility. Items of work include, but are not limited to: removal of remnants of "old store site"; asphalt concrete, rock walls, power poles, barrier posts, water lines, sewer lines, and electrical. Clearing and grubbing, excavation, installation of two prefabricated toilets; one two-unit flush and one one-unit vault. Installation of water, sewer & electrical to these units. Repair of septic tank and install new sewer lines. Repair of well house plumbing. Drainage improvement. Placement and compaction of crushed aggregate base and asphalt concrete. Bituminous asphalt curb. Placement of barrier rocks. Striping and traffic marking symbols. Signs. Erosion control. Irrigation system. Option to eliminate existing parking on east side of Pyramid Creek. Government estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. A pre-proposal meeting/tour will be held on May 21, 2001 at 10:00 AM. This meeting will be held at project site. Project is located on site of "old Twin Bridges Store". On highway 50, approximately 44 miles east of Placerville, El Dorado County, California. Solicitation package to be ready approximately May 08, 2001. Proposals are due June 06, 2001 by close of business (4:30 pm).
