Description

DESC: Intra-Alaskan air transportation services with all aircraft utilized being contractor-furnished, IFR-equipped, multi-engine aircraft with pressurized cabin and being capable of accommodating seven passengers with a net airlift capability of 1,600 pounds. The first aircraft requirement is for 80,000 Great Circle Statute Miles for each the base year and the option year. This aircraft must have a capability of a minimum true cruise air speed of 225 knots and the ability of operating to and from gravel airfields. The second aircraft requirement is for 20,000 Great Circle Statute Miles for each the base year and the option year. This aircraft must have the capability of a minimum true cruise air speed of 290 knots and will be landing on hard service runways of 5,000 feet. The acquisition is for a 12-month performance period beginning 1 October 2001 with a 12-month option period and includes a "not to exceed" six-month performance extension as authorized by FAR 52.217-8. Date for receipt of offers will be on or about 18 June 2001. To be awarded a contract under this solicitation, prospective offerors must satisfy all DOD Commercial Air Carrier Quality and Safety requirements as described in 32 CFR, Part 861.3 and the DOD Additional Standards for Contract Passenger Operations under Part 135.
