Description

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), plans to award a sole source simplified acquisition to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), Chevy Chase, Maryland. The contractor has proprietary data which shall be used to provide CSAT with information on the decision-making process used by clinicians in deciding how best to assess and treat individuals presented with problems of substance dependence, including those patients who also meet criteria for additional major psychiatric disorders. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
