Description

The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a 100% Small Business Set Aside basis, administrative support services for the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC and its branch clinics, all located within the Jacksonville, NC area. These administrative support services comprise the efforts of General Clerks and Medical Record Clerks. General Clerks shall perform a variety clerical and administrative duties in support of various medical administrative organizations and functions in a clinic setting. These duties include, but are not limited to, the following: screen, record and redirect telephone calls; schedule patient appointments; receive, greet and direct patients, visitors and hospital personnel; arrange transportation/escort for patients requiring assistance; prepare requisitions for diagnostic tests; etc. In addition to the General Clerk duties, Medical Record Clerks shall analyze medical records for completeness, consistency, and compliance with requirements; code medical record information and retrieve and compile medical record data. Apply practical knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and internal organization and consistency of military records, medical record references and procedures, and the medical and legal significance of medical records. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated with a base period of performance commencing 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002, with four (4), one-year option provisions. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with the FAR Subpart 13.5 test program procedures for commercial items. The solicitation will require the submission of cost/price and technical proposals. Release of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be via the internet.
