Description
Correction to previous synopsis: Architect and Engineering services for design and construction inspection of miscellaneous operations, maintenance, and supporting services projects at Grand Forks AFB and Cavalier AFS, ND. Multiple contracts may be issued for complete Architectural and all Engineering disciplines. The open-end contract(s) will be issued for a period of one year, with an option to extend for one year. Projects will be issued to the contractor by delivery orders and each order will not exceed $299,000. The cumulative amount of all delivery orders per year will not exceed $750,000. Delivery orders will be issued from time to time as the need arises during the contract period. Design and construction inspection services required will be performed in conjunction with construction, minor alteration, remodeling, and maintenance type projects to include preparation of drawings and specifications. Various types of A-E services such as investigation, surveying, inspection, studies, drafting, reports, base comprehensive plans, and cost estimates may also be required. Projects may require various combinations of disciplines to include, but not be limited to: architectural, landscape architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, corrosion prevention and fire protection expertise. A minimum of $5,000 in fee work will be issued under the contract(s). A firm fixed price A-E contract(s) (indefinite delivery contract) will be used. Significant evaluation factors in the order of relative importance are as follows: (1) Specialized experience and personnel qualifications in the areas of the professional disciplines identified above. (2) Capacity for timely accomplishment of work. (3) Past experience with respect to performance on DOD contracts. (4) Qualifications and experience of consultants. (5) Location of the nearest office branch for the firm within the geographical area of consideration, which is Grand Forks AFB, ND and vicinity. (6) Volume of work previously awarded by this office and other DOD agencies to the firm. Firms desiring consideration shall submit both SF 254 and SF 255. SF 254 and SF 255 are also required for consultants or joint firms. The selected firm(s) will be required to submit project documents in current versions of Microsoft Word and AutoCAD computer-aided drafting software. This is not a request for proposal. Responses to this notice must be received by 14 May 01.
