See correction below for submittal of proposals. Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0292 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Tiernan Communications, Inc. for the part number listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Mfg is Tiernan Communications, Inc. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001 Quantity 12 ea P/N TUI-10 universal interface, CLIN 0002 Quantity 7 ea P/N TDR-6 modular encoder/decoder (TMAC-6125 and TDEC-6100 included). Award is expected 27 Apr 2001. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 26 Apr 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
