Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure Composite Repair Sets P/N 1935AS100-1 for the V-22 aircraft. The required basic quantity is for fifteen (15). A three-year (3) option for up to additional forty-five (45) may be exercised. Up to an additional fifteen (15) sets per year may be required if the option is invoked. Options may be exercised in whole or in part. The item is a modified Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental-Item used in support of Organizational and Intermediate land and shore-based maintenance activities. The sets are a means of providing controlled heat up to 350 degrees F and a minimum vacuum of 25-inch MG to the repair area during the adhesive cure cycle, which is required to insure acceptable bonded repairs of the composite structures. The set includes: three zone heat control and recorder, one 30 foot input power cable, three 25 foot blanket power cables, nine 25 foot thermal couples, nine 3 foot thermal couples, one 30 foot air hose, on 25 foot vacuum hose, one 10 foot vacuum hose, one compressed air filter and moisture trap, one vacuum filter, two vacuum connectors, one vacuum gauge, six heat blankets (6 x 12, 6 x12, x 18 x 18, 12 x 18, 12 x 12, & 9 x 12) & tech manual 17-1-131. The Government is anticipating a Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. Delivery for the basic quantity of fifteen shall be NLT 21 March 2002. Any option quantities, if exercised, shall be delivered within 295 days after the option is invoked. All sets will be packaged in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ. The Government intends to procure as a Small Business Set Aside. Small Business Set-Aside SIC Codes 3679 & 3829 and NAICS Codes 33419 & 334519 are applicable. A hard copy of solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed or faxed to contractors.
