Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award additional work on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, Naval and Maritime Systems, 1847 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871-1087, for the production of six each OT-134A Continuous Wave Illuminators (CWI) under the MK-74 TARTAR MFCS Program. The award will include a separate CWI Control Panel, various types of spares, Technical Manuals, training, field service engineering (FSE), test sets and other ancillary equipment. Raytheon is the original designer, developer, and the only company to produce the KN-74 TARTAR MFCS. Raytheon is the only known firm possessing the requisite technical expertise and manufacturing capability that can perform the required production effort and FES support in a cost-effective manner while negating any impact to the Korean Navy's shipbuilding program. This additional work will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
