Description
SYNOPSIS: Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for Island Wide Pavement Rehabilitation Project VI Q-NH 35(1), Solicitation Number DTFH71-01-B-00004, in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. The project consists of pavement rehabilitation and other miscellaneous work on Route 35, Magens Bay Road. The work includes shoulder and ditch reconditioning, placement of aggregate base, placement of hot asphalt concrete pavement, drainage work, raising guardrail, and other miscellaneous work. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Bid documents are scheduled to be issued on or about April 25, 2001. Bids will be due 30 days after the issue date. Interested parties should telephone 8008928776 to order bid documents. There is no fee for bid documents. Please call 703-404-6288 to verify availability of the bid documents. It is strongly recommended that requests for bid documents be received 7 calendar days before bid opening to ensure receipt of requested materials. ATTENTION: Minority, Womenowned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's ShortTerm Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
