Description

Synopsis: The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the Simplex Time Recorder Company, Madison WI to upgrade the existing Simplex Fire Alarm System located at the William S. Middleton, VA Hospital in Madison WI. The Government believes that only one responsible source, the manufacture of the equipment can meet the agency requirements. Simplex is the only available source that employs personnel that are specifically trained in the installation and upgrade of the equipment and the only authorized supplier of required parts. This upgrade will tie-into the existing equipment therefore replacement and compatibility is critical to ensure the consistent and reliable operation of this life safety equipment. NAICS 561621. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes however, interested parties that believe they can meet the VA's needs must supply information about their capabilities no later than 12:00 pm on April 16, 2001.
