Description
This requirement is for an IR Fourier Transform Spectrometer System. The inferometer will have a Bomem patented four port configuration and must be compatible with existing Bomem systems. The inferometer will generate synchronization pulses to be used by MW and LWIR cameras operating at approximately 400Hz. The integrated system will be capable of generating 2 data cubes per second at 32 cm-1 resolution for the MW channel and 16 cm-1 for the LW channel. The inferometer will be capable of providing 1-cm path differences for generating single-sided interferograms for 1 cm-1 spectral resolution. The inferometer will accomodate a 2.5 cm collinated beam and will include minimal optics permitting interface to the IR cameras. Software will be provided to permit control of the inferometer with a state of the technology PC. Also required is a Basic Mid/Near IR MR Series spectroradiometer system with ZnSe optics and double emission input ports and double output ports. Usable spectral range to be afrom 510 cm-1 to 14,000 cm (0.7 to 19.5 microns). The system must be capable of achieving a minimum scan rate of 2 scans per second at 32 cm-1 resolution. A ZnSe window will be provided between interferometer and radiometric output optics. No detector module and no internal radiation source will be included. The system must be able to withstand strong winds, dust, rain, and snow. The contract performance period will be 90 days after contract award. Bomem, Inc. is considered to be the only known manufacturer of the above requirements. The authority for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2305 (c)(1), only one known responsible source and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents, specifications, or drawings are available. Simple requests for an RFP will not be considered an affirmative response to this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to perform to the above requirements. Responses must document compliance with the stated requirements and include adequate technical and cost information to determine if a competitive solicitation will be issued. Any such response must be received within 15 calendar days from the publication of this notice to be considered timely. See Note #22.
