Description

All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. See applicable notes one, twelve, and twenty-six. Solicitation Number: SP0740-01-R-5208, PR Number YPC01059-00-0531, NSN: 4730-01-170-4001, Item Description: Packing nut (nut, gland-shock absorber, main landing gear). This is an ASO/NAVSEA/AVSCOM critical application item. Quality assurance provision (SQAP) A038 applies. F-18 landing gear category II, non-complex but critical parts. Companies desiring to supply these part to the government are required to have a bilateral agreement and/or licensing agreement with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace-East. Vendors seeking approval as potential source of supply for Category II parts must also provide the technical data package as described in the NAVICP source approval information booklet. The TDP must clearly demonstrate a company's capability to manufacture the parts. Alternate source acquisition for these parts are not permitted without Navy Engineering Source approval. This solicitation is an RFP or IFB and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp on its issue date of 5/4/01. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. The small business size standard is 1000 employees. Drawings are posted with the solicitation on the DSCC solicitation web-site. Federal, military and commercial specifications cannot be provided by DSCC. *Cited drawing refers to SQAP only. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available in reference to the part itself. The proposed procurement contains a 100% option for incraesed quantities. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The quantity of one test signifies the test requirement. See Clauses I43 and I43a for information concerning the requirement and test report. Offers that do not cite a price for line Item 9907 shall be evaluated under the assumption that there is no separate charge. In the event the requirement is waived, no award will be made for line item 9907. This solicitation includes an option quantity in accordance with clause I30/I30a. It contains multiple option contract line items and exercise periods. Offerors shall insert the available option quantity and price(s) which may be exercised concurrently with or within the specified time period or after the award, but before the expiration of the full option period. A mandatory entry is required for the basic option quantity which will be evaluated at time of award unless the offerors has entered a lower price for the option quantity ranges to be exercised concurrent with the award and there is a requirement available to exercise the option concurrent with the award. Entries for the price break option clin will not be used in evaluation of award. NOTE: Failure to submit an offer on the basic option quantity clin may result in rejection of the bid/offer.
