Description

Background "This project includes the demolition of an approximately 10,000 SF lean-to structure attached to Facility 30145, an airfield hangar at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Related work includes repair of the exterior of the adjacent hangar, asbestos and lead removal, removal, relocation and capping of existing utilities, and tying into the existing airfield apron with new concrete to replace the demolished structure. Facility 30145 is on the active airfield in close proximity to the main airfield terminal for WPAFB; therefore, the job will require close coordination and scheduling with Base Operations and other base authorities to preclude the possibility of Foreign Object Damage to aircraft. The estimated order of magnitude for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The performance period shall be 120 calendar days. Any responsible firm may submit a proposal that will be considered. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. Note that the ""response date"" or ""due date"" referenced above is an estimated time for receipt of proposals. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR)prior to the award of any solicitation issued after 31 May 98, and every solicitation issued after that date must include the Clause at DFARS 252.204-7004, ""Required Contractor Registration."" The role of the Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or the Contracting Officer. The Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process.
