Description
This notice replaces the information provided in solicitation number F34601-00-R-0100, dated 5DEC00, as follows: For additional information, contact Julia Harlow, LPDBA, 405-734-8766. If you previously requested a copy of the solicitation, you need not do so again. Requirement is for a Synchronizing Ring, NSN: 2840-01-454-8470; P/N: 4082995-01; APPLICABLE TO: F15/16 aircraft;SIZE/DIMENSIONS: outer diameter approximately 45 inches,inner diameter approx. 43 inches, height 2 inches, width 1.5 inches; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Titanium alloy; FORM,FIT,FUNCTION: Controls the movement of convergent nozzle segments by a series of interconnected links. The sync ring is moved forward and rearward by actuators to increase and decrease nozzle throat area. The anticipated contract is for a firm-fixed price 3-year requirements contract with no options. Estimated quantity is 2167 each for the entire contract period. Expected annual requirement is 722 for Years 1 and 2, and 723 for Year 3. The solicitation will request pricing in Quantity Ranges. The offeror may suggest their own quantity ranges, as may be in the best interest of the government. First article testing is required. Qualification requirements are available in accordance with clause I-70 of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources IAW Clause I-70. The government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
