Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Compass Lake Engineering, 719 White Drive, Alford, FL 32420, for 256 each M16A2 modification kits containing a Barrel Krieger 1/7 w/extension and bolt, a .040 rear sight apeture, a rear apeture hood, a 1/4 sleeve, a 1/4 bushing, and a float tube. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Compass Lake Engineering has been identified as a sole source supplier of the M16 modification kit. Compass Lake is the sole distributor/manufacturer of the M16 modification kit and it can not be purchased through any other source. In addition, no other M16A2 modification kit will satisfy the needs of the Precision Weapons Section. See Note: 22
