Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations with Northrop Grumman Corporation for maintenance of Government owned CATIIID (3 each) and RADCOM (3 each) test station equipment. These six stations are located at the Northrop Grumman plant in Bethpage, NY as Government Furnished Equipment under contracts for the dvelopment of peculiar support equipment for the E-2C Aircraft. These test stations require maintenance service for a period of 8 months. An option for four three-month periods will also be included. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed-price order to Northrop Grumman under Basic Ordering Agreement N68335-00-G-0325 to satisfy this requirement. The Government intends to procure these services under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. The CATIIID and RADCOM test stations are bailed units located in a secure development laboratory area of the Northrop Grumman plant. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. Responses should reference N68335-01-R-0253. Information must be received no later than 23 April 2001. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
