Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included by electronic notice. Electronic solicitations may be opbtained at the following URL: http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. VISN 1, consisting of eleven (11) VA Medical Centers located in New England, require bread and bakery related products in various quantities and locations for a delivery performance period beginning June 1, 2001 and ending May 31, 2002. The solicitation number is 405-31-01 and issued as an RFP. THe solicitatino document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. The acquisition will be issued unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAIC) is 311812. All responses are due COB, May 11, 2001. Evaluations will be made on price, past performance, method of date coding, ordering, method of invoicing, and subcontract arrangements. Offerors are required to submit a complete copy of the provision 52.212-3 -- Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with their offer. No telephone requests will be accepted. A firm, fixed-price contract is anticipated.
