Description
This announcement amends the combined synopsis/solicitation USZA92-01-Q-0008 for the Purchase, Delivery and Installation of a consolidated base station HF Antenna and Tower for the US Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina submitted on 26 Mar 01. Amendment 0001 is issued to provide answers to the following contractor questions. QUESTION: What is the maximum transmitter power rating of each antenna system? ANSWER: Manufacture transmitter power rating is 1000w peak envelope power. QUESTION: The completion date for the contact says 23 July 2000. Assuming this is really 23 July 2001 is this date able to be changed? ANSWER: The completion date of 23 July 2000 is a typographical error. The correct date is 23 July 2001. The solicitation is hereby amended to reflect this correction. Please note the evaluation criteria 52.212-2, "Quotes will be evaluated as to technical acceptability, delivery, price, and past performance." The targeted delivery and installation date is of great importance to the fulfillment of this requirement. Please note that the synopsis solicitation includes the requirement for quotes to include the "proposed installation date". QUESTION: Re: the antenna transmitter switching arrangement for switching various antennas (or combinations thereof) and various transmitters. Could a schematic type of drawing be provided to better clarify what is desired. ANSWER: As part of the quotation package, contractors are encouraged to submit all schematics or drawings they feel will assist in the technical evaluation process. Insufficient technical data may result in a unsatisfactory technical evaluation. QUESTION: With reference to the solicitation -- your call for 4 (ea) 900 Ft. sloping long wire antennas -- we are having a difficult time locating a source for these. Can you direct us to a Brand Name or Manufacturer? ANSWER: The 900 foot long wire antennas will need to be custom built as they are not a manufactured item. The following change applies: DELIVERY/ ACCEPTANCE POINT: Delivery and installation location is Fort Bragg, North Carolina and shall be completed no later than 23 July 2001. QUOTES ARE DUE: The date and time for receipt of quotations has NOT changed. Quotes shall be received at HQ-USASOC ATTN: AOCO (Barbara Bowles), Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 28310, not later than 2:00 p.m. ET, 13 Apr 2001.
