Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-R-0088 is hereby issued as a request for Proposal (RFP). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24 and DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 336399 and the size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is for the following: Various Detroit Diesel Parts/Components/Remanufactured Parts/Components (Brand Name Only) which shall be procured on an as-needed basis. This will be a five (5) year contract with a ceiling of $2,880,000.00. The contract will expire 5 years after contract award or when funds are exhausted, which ever comes first. Delivery requirement is as follows: Stock within 24 hours; out of stock within 72 96 hours; manufactured 1 3 months. Delivery is required FOB NAVAIRSEFAC Solomons, MD 20688. The attached Statement of Work which can be downloaded at www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. Final inspection shall be at NAVAIRSEFAC Solomons, MD. Selection for award will be based on the Authorized Detroit Diesel Distributor offering the largest discount off the Detroit Diesel Corporation Parts Price Schedule dated 1 August 2000 and off the Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing Reliabilt Dealer Prices dated 1 August 99, FOB Solomons, MD. As Detroit Diesel Corporation increases their prices, the selected Detroit Diesel Distributor will be required to provide the Government the revised pricing books. The selected Detroit Diesel Distributor will be required to hold the discount consistent until contract completion. Past performance will also be a factor in the source selection process. Along with your offer, provide information regarding any account your company has with overnight shipping delivery resources. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Payment will be made on a monthly basis via Government MasterCard for all parts/components shipped. The selected Detroit Diesel Distributor shall be required to furnish an invoice for each shipment, which shall be verified by a technical representative of NAVAIRSEFAC Solomons, MD. Quote FOB Solomons only, offers for other than FOB Solomons, MD will be rejected. Offers that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required timeframe will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
