Description

The USDA APHIS Wildlife Services Program (WS) has a need to procure one (1) Piper PA-18 Super Cub. Following are the Special Aircraft Requirements: One (1) Piper PA-18 (160hp or 180hp model) with the following minimum equipment requirements: Dual Controls 6 inch main wheels and 8:50 tires Scott 3200 tail wheel assembly Full electrical system to include alternator, battery and starter Instruments required for VFR flight both day and night All life limited and overhaul items for the engine (1000 hours remaining before TBO) and airframe (total time 5000 or less). All aircraft records must be up to date with alterations and repairs documented on FAA Form 337. All aircraft inspections must be up to date and properly documented in the aircraft records. To maintain quality assurance of the aircraft, inspections of perspective aircraft by a qualified fixed wing maintenance specialist shall commence at the location where the aircraft is maintained at government expense. Aircraft fabric, tubing and other structural items will be subject to inspection to determine air worthiness. The contractor shall be responsible for submitting inspection reports completed for subject aircraft. A fixed price purchase order will result under NAICS code 336411. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect though Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21.
