Description

DESC: Request for Proposal # IX-02-01 for continued operation of the Hawaii Job Corps Center located in Waimanalo, on the Island of Oahu in the State of Hawaii, will be made available on April 20, 2001 by written request to the Agency, and on the Job Corps Acquisition Home Page http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps.Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. The successful offeror will manage and operate a Government Owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, outreach, admission, career development services, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations. Copies of DOL/Job Corps regulations are available at the above mentioned web site. The Main Center is located at 41-467 Hihimanu St., Waimanalo, HI 96795, with Satellite Centers located on the Island of Maui at 500 Ike Dr., Makawao, HI 96768, and a remote site located on the Island of Kwajalein in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The contract capacity is for 159 residential males, 30 non-residential males, 133 residential females, 40 non-residential females, for a total capacity of 362 trainees distributed as follows; Wiamanalo 250, Maui 82, Kwajalein 30. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost plus fixed fee contract for a two year period from February 1, 2002, through January 31, 2004, plus three performance based options of one year each. There will be a Walk-Thru at the Satellite in Maui that will convene on May 11, 2001 at 2:00PM (Local Time) at the site. A Pre-Proposal conference at the Main Center in Waimanalo will convene on May 14, 2001 at 10:00AM (Local Time), starting with a walk through of the facility, followed immediately by the conference. The RFP will consist of a written submission in accordance with instructions provided in Section L of the RFP. It is recommended that you download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-Proposal Conference. All questions related to this procurement shall be submitted in writing to the Contacting Officer prior to the Pre-Proposal Conference. Proposals are due no later than July 13, 2001 2:00PM (PDT). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.
