Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in his notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. No RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. The solicitation document and all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. Responses will be accepted only from qualified small businesses under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 421690, the applicable Small Business Size Standard is 100. The following item is to be procured using a brand name or equal purchase description: ITEM 0001: 5500 Each -- Sony, Audio Cassettes, Digital Micro NTC-90; Manufactured by Sony for exclusive use in NT Format, Digital Micro Audio Recorders. This Tape must be a continuous Leaderless Tape. Specifications: NT (Non-Tracking) Format Micro Cassette Tape, NTC-90 Digital Audio Tape, Cassette Size: 30 x 21.5 x 5 mm (w/h/d) (1 3/16 x 7/8 x 7/32 inches), Mass: 2.3 g (0.08 oz), Tape Width: 2.5 mm, Material: Metal Evaporated Tape, Maximum Recording Time: 90 Minutes. Shipping must be FOB Destination to Sterling, VA 20166. The following provisions are applicable to this acquisition: (a) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, (b) FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, (c) FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Awardee must complete a SF-3381 ACH Vendor/Miscellaneous Payment Enrollment form, for payment via electronic funds transfer. Any quotes must also contain product info that lists specifications. Award will be made to the offeror that provides the best value to the Government and will be made on an all or none basis to the offeror that meets all specifications. Offers shall be submitted to Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, 650 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Room 3290, Washington, DC 20226 no later than April 13, 2001, 3:00PM (Washington, DC local time). Quotes maybe faxed to 202-927-8688 or mailed. The quoted items must include price, best delivery time and product literature that list specifications.
