Description
This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources to manufacture Cadet Mess Dress Uniforms at the USAF Academy. The mess dress for men consists of Jacket and Trousers, and the mess dress for women consists of Jacket and Skirt. These items must be manufactured from USAFA Specs and USAFA Letter of Exception dtd 26 Feb 2001, from Type I, Shade Blue 1583, IAW Purchase Description AESC 82-6A, men's jackets, AESC 82-7, men's trousers, AESC 82-4A, women's skirts, and AESC 82-3A, women's jackets, manufactured from tropical, polyester wool material. These uniforms are made to measure and no variation is allowed. The contractor shall furnish all materials. The contractor shall furnish two fitters (male/female) and provide try on garments for measurements. The contractor shall measure cadets at the USAFA from 8:00am to 4:00pm, at the cadet tailor shop. Contractor must furnish sample of bar code label. Packing instructions applicable. The local DCAS office will perform in-plant inspection. All prospective bidders shall be certified through the Department of the Air Force's Human Systems Center Clothing Division located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH 45533-7009. This procurement is subject to the Buy American Act, please reference the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clause 252.225-7012. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, transportation, and the supervision necessary to perform all requirements associated with the manufacture of these uniforms. Estimated annual quantities are as follows: 850 each men's mess dress jackets; 150 each women's mess dress jackets; 850 each men's trousers; 150 each women's skirts. In addition there are fill-in orders for 30 each men's and women's jackets (total 60), fill-in orders for trousers 30 pairs and fill-in orders for skirts 30 each. A Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract is anticipated with a one-year base period plus four (4) option years. FOB is at Destination. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (315211) and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
