Description

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to negotiate on a sole source basis with Spectrum Solutions, Inc. for the continuation of technical support services for the client component of the MeSH2000 system. MeSH is a controlled vocabulary used to index the content of biomedical information sources (books, articles, videotapes, factual databases, etc.) In the MEDLARS family of databases. Spectrum Solutions provided technical support in the transfer of database information as well as the implementation of new software for the MeSH System. This continuation of existing services is needed for quality assurance purposes. Based on Spectrum Solutions is knowledge of the MeSH system upgrade, a continuation of service is required for the continued training and implementation of software upgrade to the current system. Spectrum Solutions knowledgeable and expertise as well as the certified in using Sun Operating Systems version 5.5.1, Java programming language using JDK version 1.1.8 and higher, Swing 1.0.3, C programming language, JDBC, Windows 95/NT and Sun Solaris, Oracle version 8.0.5, SWL, PL*SQl, Oracle Con Text option, Remorte Access Service and CP/IP, Microsoft J++/IDE, Visual Source/Save, Knowledge of text processing applications and controlled vocabularies. This service will be procured under FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisitions.) This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is a RFQ available, however, all responsible and responsive sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the NLM.
