Description
The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service is soliciting bids from interested Medical Transcription Contractors to provide a Firm Fixed-Price, Non-Personal Medical Transcription Service for the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial HealthCare Facility in Belcourt, North Dakota. This is a Buy-Indian Set-Aside, restricted to Buy-Indian firms as defined in 25 USC 47. This is a multiple year contract with a base year plus two one year option years. The Contractor shall provide transcription of Narrative Summaries, History and Physicals, Operative Reports and other Miscellaneous Transcription of Medical Reports involving a wide range of Medical Terminology representative of the following Medical Specialties: Medical, Surgical, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Dental, Urology, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics and Psychiatry. Contract performance shall be according to the requirements contained in the Statement of Work. The Contractor will agree to provide for the consistent performance of the patient care process according to the standards of the JCAHO who supply accreditation to the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial HealthCare Facility in Belcourt, North Dakota. These standards shall include: the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals, The Laboratory Standards, Ambulatory Care Standards as they represent the scope of services of this contract. The Contractor shall have knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology as required for transcribing reports, with appropriate verification of this knowledge that is acceptable to the Contracting Officer.
