Description

NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)for procuring Drive Motor Isolation Switches. The work to be performed under this contract consists of providing labor, equipment, material and supervision to provide eight (8), 3,000 ampere no-load switches and all related components to the 6.9 KV motor drive system at the Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel in accordance with the required drawings and specifications. All other work and miscellaneous items, not specifically mentioned, but reasonably inferred for complete fabrication, including accessories and appurtenances required for testing switches. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000 and $500,000 and the effort shall be completed within one hundred ninety-five (195) calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 235310 and $11.5 million, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C2. The anticipated release date of the RFO/IFB is on or about February 14, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of or about March 27, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. All requests for copies of solicitation RFO2-36853(CAD) should be in writing and directed to Mr. Mike Wilkerson. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Facsimile requests will not be accepted. THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE OF $45.00 FOR EACH SET OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO BECHTEL NATIONAL INCORPORATED AND MAIL TO NASA-AMES RESEARCH CENTER, ATTENTION: MR. MIKE WILKERSON, M/S 213-11, MOFFETT FIELD, CA 94035-1000.
