Description

The US Coast Guard in Alameda, CA, proposes to contract for dockside repairs of USCGC MIDGETT in Seattle, WA, during the period of 7 May through 22 Jun 2001, at cutter's homeport, Pier 36, Seattle, WA. Work items will include; turbine exhaust stack uptakes cleaning, elec breakers inspect, potable water pneumatic tank relief valve test, fan coil conditioner relocation, commisssary hoist level 2 inspection, warping capstan level 2 inspection. An IFB will be issued, in accordance with the SBCDP, OOB 16 Feb 2001. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, The Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
