Description

The Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI), U.S. Department of Education intends to award a nine (9) months sole source, no-cost extension to Contract RF95194001. The contractor is the National Academy of Sciences. The purpose of this extension is to disseminate research findings on issues concerning equity and adequacy that were generated by the Committee on Education Finance: Equity, Adequacy, and Productivity with the support of this particular contract. During the extension period, the contractor should work with OERI to seek collaborations with national organizations and other major educational agencies to disseminate findings to policymakers through these organizations' dissemination networks. Pending the availability of additional funds, the contractor should also work with OERI and these organizations to convene meetings and/or commission papers to address further research questions concerning equity and adequacy. OERI believes that the National Academy of Sciences is the only source possessing and disseminating these research findings to meet the requirement within the time period required by OERI. Any business that thinks it is qualified for this procurement should submit a detailed capability statement to Helen Chang by February 22, 2001 by 4:00 PM EST.
