Description

NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Sonic Venturi, 1.5 inch line size, grayloc GR14 HUBS, one piece construction, 304 or 316 stainless steel construction, 6 inches overall length, pressure rating to 2500 PSI -- RFMF line item 57. The part numbers are: NP0150185, NP0150202, NP0150217, NP0150236, NP0150256, NP0150276, NP0150295, NP0150315, NP0150354, NP0150374, NP0150394, NP0150402, AND NP0150433. ALL PART NUMBERS END IN SGR14. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from FLOW-SYSTEMS, FAR PART 6.302-1(2)(iii)(A) and (B) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The equipment must be exact size and dimension as the existing stock of venturi for rocket engine testing. To award to another company would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition ad unacceptable delays in fufulling agency's requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 2-7-01. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
