Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F41612-01-T0075 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This acquisition is under North American Industry Classification System 42173, with a small business size standard of 100 Employees. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. Furnish two cooling towers as follows: cooling tower for bldg 516 will include galvanized steel framing, PVC film fill, 1-cell crossflow, CTI certification as per STD-201. Motor shall be outside air stream. 5 yr mechanical warranty. Thermal performance: 690 GPM, 95 deg F/ 85 deg F HW/CW, 78 deg F WB in. Electrical: 230-460 V/ 3 ph/ 60 Hz. Provide perimeter handrail, kneerail and toeboard, and ladder. Float water make up valve. Include manufacturer representative start up. Suggested model: Marley NC8302F-1. Cooling tower for bldg 1090 will include galvanized steel framing, PVC film fill, 1-cell crossflow, CTI certification as per STD-201. Motor shall be outside air stream. 5 yr mechanical warranty. Thermal performance: 350 GPM, 95 deg F/ 85 deg F HW/CW, 78 deg F WB in. Electrical: 230-460 V/ 3 ph/ 60 Hz. Provide perimeter handrail, kneerail and toeboard, and ladder. Float water make up valve. Include manufacturer representative start up. Suggested model: Marley NC8301C-1. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Oct 2000). It is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. Award will be based on price alone. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Jan 2001) with their offer. FAR 52.212-3, Alternates I and III, must also be completed. FAR 52.212-4 (May 1999), Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition with the addition of DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 1998). The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (Aug 2000) applies to this acquisition and is incorporated by reference.
