Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice for Solicitation No. 01SP101465 is currently available and can be viewed at our website: www.pn.usbr.gov/contracts . This will be a negotiated requirement and evaluation criteria at a minimum will include experience, past performance, price & price related factors. Evaluation criteria will be detailed in Section L of the request for Proposal (RFP). We intend to solicit this requirement as a HUBZone set-aside. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 13, 2001. The estimated price range of the work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The work to be performed is situated at Minidoka Dam, approximately 12 miles east of Rupert, Idaho, in Minidoka County. The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following:The work includes replacing: Twelve (each) approximately 14 ft. 8 in. high by 3 ft. 6-1/2 in. wide fixed/center pivot sash wood windows on the West wall elevations, fourteen (each) approximately 5 ft. 1 in. high by 3 ft. 5-1/2 in. wide center pivot wood sash windows on the West wall elevation at the turbine floor. Three (each) approximately 10 ft. 3-1/8 in. high by 7 ft. 3 in. wide fixed/pivotal wood sash windows and three (each) approximately 5 ft. 2 in. high by 7 ft. 3 in. wide fixed wood sash windows on unit No. 7 on the South wall elevation. Sixteen (each) approximately 5 ft. 9-in. high by 4 ft. 0 in. wide double hung wood sash windows on the East elevation. Two (each) approximately 7 ft. 9 in. high by 4 ft. 0 in. wide double hung wood sash windows on the South elevation. All the existing windows (which must be removed and disposed of) have lead based paint applied to them.The Powerplant at Minidoka Dam is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The contractor shall replace the windows consistent with the historic design, materials, and character of the structure and avoid damage to the structure in accordance with the State Historic Preservation Office and the Contracting Officer. Copies of solicitation will be provided in CD-ROM format at no charge for the first copy and $15.00 each (nonrefundable) for each additional copy requested.
