Description
The Coast Guard intends to issue a request for proposal to provide labor, materials and equipment for the construction of the Interior renovation for Hangar III at Air station Kodiak, Kodiak Alaska. Demolition includes concrete slabs and walls, wood, glass and steel framing, asbestos and lead paint abatement, deluge system removal, building utility removal or capping. The construction includes concrete trenching and slabs, hangar deck coating, steel structural framing, bridge and jib cranes, steel roofing and siding, metal stud gypsum partitions, wood/steel door frames and hardware, steel windows, wood casework. Mechanical and Electrical systems include foam deluge system and sprinklers, alarm and control systems, waste and sewer systems, steam distribution, ventilation ducting, plumbing fixtures electrical distribution, interior lighting, communications, public address system, direct current and 400HZ aircraft power. Contract duration is 300 days. The Government Estimate range is $5 to $10 million. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the offeror whose offer represents the best value to the Government based on price, technical qualifications and past performance.
