Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) has a requirement for Shop Towel and miscellaneous coverall laundering services in support of U.S. Naval Ships and locations in the Puget Sound, WA area. The primary locations will be Naval Station Bremerton, Naval Station Everett, Jim Creek, and Smokey Point, WA. The contractor will be responsible for pickup, delivery, and laundering of contractor supplied shop towels and coveralls. The resulting contract will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with delivery orders and payment restricted to the Government purchase card. The RFQ will utilize FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition procedures, and will be issued for a base year, with 2 option years. The following yearly estimates are provided for each primary location: 1) Naval Station Bremerton -- 144,000 rags/yr; 2) Naval Station Everett -- 92,400 rags/yr and 120 coveralls/yr; 3) Jim Creek, WA -- 1200 rags/yr and 120 coveralls/yr; 4) Smokey Point, WA -- 6000 rags/yr. These yearly estimates will apply for both the base and each option year. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 01 Feb 01 with responses due by 15 Feb 01. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
