Description

The project consists of scarification of approx. 488 acres of logging units using a crawler tractor (Caterpillar D-5H "High Track" or equivalent) capable of attaching to a Government-furnished Salmon Blade in preparation for tree planting. Project location is north of Banks, Idaho, on the Dry Buck Timber Sale, accessible via Forest Road 643. Est. start date is 7/1/01 with completion date of 10/30/01. See numbered note #1.
