Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a Purchase Order on a Sole Source basis to American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York, NY, for 1,000 yearly subscriptions to the publications "Journal of Accountancy" and "CPE Direct". This is in order to meet the IRS' continuing need for a paper-based, off-the-shelf, continuing professional education (CPE) self-study program for its employees who are Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). The paper-based, off-the-shelf, self-study training material must meet the CPE requirements of all State Boards of Accountancy, with the exception of NC, which is known to have special requirements. AICPA is the only known provider with a proven background in producing applicable topics in a paper-based format that can meet this need. The price is to include delivery, Freight on Board (FOB), Destination. All responsible sources that can provide the above requirements shall demonstrate their capability in writing no later than 15 days from the published date of this announcement. All questions must be submitted in writing and received by facsimile (202) 283-1511 or by mail. If no affirmative responses are received, an award will be made to American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This is a Simplified Acquistion and the anticipated award date is expected to be no later than 2-19-01. See numbered Note 1.0
