Description
W81R8T0276RM40 High Speed 3-D Measurement and Motion Analysis System. United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona anticipates placing a FFP contract under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) No. DAAD01-00-G-0009 for Advanced Technology Augmentation Group (ATAG) to provide research & development of a High-Speed 3-D Measurement and Motion Analysis System. The BOA holder is J-Squared LLC (JSQLLC), 1110C Elkton Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907. J-Squared is a small business. To meet the requirements of studying hypervelocity projectile's dynamic motion in flight, USAYPG anticipates acquiring a measurement and analysis system capable of determining dynamic 6-DOF coordinates of the projectile and relating them to the range coordinate system. The contractor will deliver a system, which will be a fully remotely operable and controllable 6-DOF hypervelocity-projectile image capture and coordinate measurement system. The system will be capable of measuring projectile rigid-body coordinates in flight and score surface deformations of structures during impact. The system analysis capabilities shall include goodness of fit criteria, MTS/camera calibration matrix, MTS/camera position and model. Scoring output shall include projectile position (6 DOF), motion vectors, size and velocity, QV 3-D rendering/modeling, and scoring solutions in range coordinates. It is anticipated that the program will have 18 months duration. FSC is R411 and SIC is 8999. The original BOA is based on an unsolicited proposal in which J-Squared independently originated and presented innovative and unique approaches to provide several range solutions. J-Squared now has five years of dedicated and comprehensive research into developing concepts specific to the USAYPG mission and they are the only firm possessing the knowledge and capability to deliver this technology. The approaches derived from these concepts are unique and proprietary to J-Squared. USAYPG does not intend to issue a written solicitation. Sources interested in this requirement may submit an information package which includes documentation demonstrating that their firm possesses the capability, integral development knowledge of the systems and software systems listed above, company profile, complete business address, point of contact, phone number, facsimile and email address. Your information package must be received no later than 30 days after publication of this notice and may be sent via facsimile (520) 328-6849, hardcopy to AMCAC-USAYPG, ATTN: AMSSB-ACY/Becci Winkler, Yuma, AZ 85365-9106 or via email to Becci.Winkler@Yuma-exch1.army.mil The BOA will be placed with JSQLLC on the 46th day after publication of this notice.
