Description

The Navy plans to issue a "bridge" contract extension to Global PCCI (GPC) A Joint Venture, for the Management, Maintenance, and Operation of the Emergency Ship Salvage Material (ESSM) Bases, and Equipment Complexes. The extension will commence on 01 February 2001 and continue through 31 July 2001 or until the currently ongoing competitive reprocurement is awarded. The extension will also contain an additional three-month option period in the event it is needed. GPC is the incumbent contractor and the only source capable of ensuring an uninterrupted continuity of services pending completion of the competitive process for the successor contract.
