Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service (NWS ) intends to solicit for all labor, materials, supervision, coordination, equipment and services necessary to install a Mitsubishi Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) at eight National Weather Service Sites throughout Central Region. The UPS systems will be Government furnished equipment. The UPS systems are to be installed at the following locations: Valley, NE; Sioux Falls, SD; Grand Forks, ND; Green Bay, WI; Indianapolis, IN; Rapid City, SD; Cheyenne, WY; Bismarck, ND. The work includes but is not limited to: (a) Removal and on-site storage of existing Siemens "C" or "B42" series UPS and associated battery cabinet, (b) Removal and disposal of UPS batteries and existing remote Siemens annunciator panel, (c) Removal and disposal of existing maintenance bypass switch, (d) Installation of Government furnished Mitsubishi UPS, associated battery cabinet and full compliment of batteries, maintenance bypass switch and all associated appurtenances, and (e) Reconfiguration of existing electrical as required to complete the installation. The dates for installation at each office shall be mutually agreed upon between Contractor and the Government at the time of contract award. The contractor shall be responsible for disposal of all waste material generated as a result of the specified services. The contractor will be responsible for providing services in accordance with the Statement of Work, Government Terms and Conditions and U.S. Department of Labor Wage Determination for each area. All will be provided with the Request for Quotation (RFQ). An RFQ will be issued on or about January 22, 2001. Fax requests will be accepted at (816) 426-7530. Requests must be submitted within ten (10) days of publication of this announcement. This purchase will be made under the guidelines of FAR, part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency. This action is not set aside for small business.
