Description

MEDCOM Contracting Center intends to award a firm fixed price contract for "non-slip" floor coating system to exterior stairs and landings at several buildings at Fort Sam Houston, TX, using the simplified acquisition procedures. The contractor shall provide all material, labor, supplies, equipment, transportation and supervision to remove/install non-slip flooring systems. Contractor shall have a minimum of five years experience in installation of non-skid flooring systems and have manufacturer accreditation. The work includes but is not limited to sand blasting stair and landing surfaces, acid etch and neutralize surfaces, if required; protect areas from splash and spills, spray coating to surfaces, spray sealer and color coat; clean up and touch up areas as required; transport and dispose of project generated debris to appropriate off-post site. Central Contractor Registration and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) are mandatory for award and payment. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 26, 2001; a site visit is schedule for 0900 hrs, (9:00 A.M.) February 2, 2001. DADA10-01-T-0044 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is set aside for small business. The applicable SIC Code is 3479 and related small business size standard is 500 employees. The estimated cost of the project is under $100,000.00. Funds are not currently available for this project but is expected to be available in February 2001. A limited number of solicitation packages are available for the public. All prospective contractors are urged to visit the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and location conditions that may affect their cost. If you plan to visit the site, please inform Mr. Copeland by Fax or e-mail by noon, February 1, 2001. RFQ are due no later than 1600 hrs (4:00 P.M. CDT), February 6, 2001.
