Description

The Health Communications and Informatics Research Branch, Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences of the National Cancer Institute, through the Surveillance Support Master Agreement pool, is interested in obtaining information about the American public's access to and use of cancer information as well as their knowledge about cancer. The purpose of Request for Proposals (RFP) N02-PC-15003-39, titled "Health Information National Trends Survey" (HINTS) is to gather information about 1) cancer information preferences; 2) access to cancer information; 3) utilization of cancer information and 4) the impact of cancer information on relevant health beliefs, attitudes and behaviors. This RFP will be available electronically. Those interested in obtaining a copy of this RFP should send their e-mail address to Theresa H. Shroff at ts144t@nih.gov and a copy of the RFP will be forwarded electronically. AN AWARD WILL ONLY BE MADE TO A MASTER AGREEMENT HOLDER IN THE SURVEILLANCE SUPPORT MASTER AGREEMENT POOL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 5416. Proposals will only be considered from offerors in the Surveillance Support Master Agreement pool. Those who are not currently in the Surveillance Support Master Agreement pool and who wish to be considered for inclusion should consult the Research Contracts Branch website at http://amb.nci.nih.gov under "Current Requests for Proposals" and refer to RFP/N02-PC-95034-39. The duration of the existing Master Agreement pool is 10/15/1999 through 10/14/2004. The due date for proposals is October 30 of each year for those interested in being included in the projected annual review.
