Description

The work to be performed consists of: 1) designing, furnishing and installing approximately 3,000 feet of 1-1/4 inch rigid-steel conduit and support system. The Contractor shall either bury the rigid-steel conduit or place the rigid-steel conduit above ground, which would require a designed support system; 2) furnishing and installing approximately 9,000 linear feet of single conductor #1 AWG copper cable, THHN or equal; 3) furnishing and installing approximately 3,000 feet of #4 bare copper cable; and 4) furnishing and installing one 480-volt, 50 ampere circuit breaker in an existing panel. The Contractor shall begin work upon receipt of award and complete all of the work by October 15, 2001. However, due to certain constraints, installation of the 480-volt circuit into the Pole Hill generating plant and Pole Hill gatehouse structure must be performed during the period of September 10, 2001 to October 15, 2001. This portion of the installation represents approximately 2 to 3 percent of the total work. Pole Hill Powerplant is located approximately 13 miles west of Loveland, Colorado, in Larimer County. The work is situated in steep, rocky terrain along an existing steel penstock that extends between the Pole Hill Gatehouse Structure and Pole Hill Power Plant. The distance between the two structures is approximately 3,000 feet. The elevation change is approximately 830 feet. Access along the penstock is limited. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be made available on or around February 13, 2001. Quotes are due March 20, 2001. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This will be set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1623. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 23492. The small business size standard is $17 million. To receive a copy of the RFQ, Contractors shall fax a request to (406) 247-7798. The fax must include the contractor's name, address, phone/fax numbers, Federal Tax Identification and Duns Number. The faxes shall be to the attention of Hart Blackeagle or Beverly Beckman.
