Description

1. Vessel Required: U.S. or foreign flag self-sustaining vessel or tug/barge capable of transporting cargo described in Box 2. Contractor is required to unstuff containers in Cartagena only. Contractor is required to provide any additional equipment to aid in unstuffing containers. Government Containers will be left at Ports of Debarkation. Contractor must furnish lashing gear sufficient for securing cargo. Owner to warrant that any and all regulatory compliances are maintained. Minimum laden speed, 6.5 knots. Force Protection: Provided for information only: Contractor should have the vessel arrive at the seabuoy for each port at first light. The vessel will not be allowed to sail (transit inland waters) after dark so it will remain in port until first light the following day. The MILGRU is trying to arrange for a host nation Naval escort from the Cartagena seabuoy to all ports to provide water side security. Schedule will not be as timely as normal operations but it will allow for much better security and time for the ground personnel to transit from port to port to handle the discharge operations. 2.
